I have THE best clients! From the time when little Anders was just one or two months old, his uber talented and crafty mama was planning his first birthday party theme and ‘cake’ smash, not wanting him to grow up any faster than he already would, but just so she had adequate time to plan the most epic party and one year photo shoot. And a traditional cake smash just would not do. So, we did a taco smash for his one year photos. And it.was.awesome. Just see for yourself :) Don’t get me wrong, I love a nice and simple ‘traditional’ cake smash, too, but this taco smash and the pie and donut smashes I’ve done in the past have been pretty fun!

(PS, yes, those are tortilla chip garland strands in the back. I think I can actually take credit for that idea…I just probably wouldn’t have executed it as amazing as this mama did :))
